All in all, I can't fault the apartments at all. The rooms are well designed, clean and the bed was the most comfortable one I've experienced in 14 trips to Greece! The owner couldn't have been more helpful, ringing the transfer company for us and organising some mugs. There are some amazing restaurants nearby - the ones away from the sea-front are a bit cheaper than the ones overlooking the sea. The beach is two minutes walk in the other direction and has a lovely beach bar. The apartments are situated at the far end of the town just round the corner from the local bus stop so it's easy to get around.

The pool area is at the front and is quiet, sunny and peaceful. The only down-side to this was the hotel next door which was fairly noisy during the evening, although this stopped around 11.30 most nights so didn't keep us awake, and of course, this was not the fault of Studios Marios. Ours looked over the back towards the sea. We had a deluxe studio (room 9) - all of these are on the top floor. We stayed for a week for my partner's 50th birthday and we're really glad we chose these apartments.

Overall: nice and clean hotel steps from black sand beach. I would recommend them as they were surprisingly a bit less than a traditional taxi. We were only working off WiFi but when dining out a restaurant called us a taxi through “ever after days” (an event company that also does transfers) that we were able to message them via what’s app for a ride. The only other minor issue we had was trying to get a cab after hours. This is a true mom and pop joint, The owners are helpful (and speak English) if you have any questions. However, on the bright side our room was modern, clean, and had a nice balcony with a view of the sea. The tap water is undrinkable (per google) and if you try to drink it- tastes awful. I’d recommend the studio to provide guests checking in with at least give one complimentary bottle in the room.

Because we got in so late we had no idea what was open or not. We were able to check in still no problem. The first night, we got in very late due to a flight and reception was closed.
